There are plenty of ways to have fun, be comfortable, and camp all at the same time.
I used to think I wouldn’t like to camp. I was completely against the idea. I thought it would be hot (or way too cold), uncomfortable, there would be bugs everywhere and it would just not be fun all around. I just thought it was a terrible idea. I mean, who would want to sleep outside when they could sleep inside in a hotel? Isn’t that what a vacation is about?
Well, turns out I was extremely wrong. Camping can be a lot of fun, and it can be very comfortable. It’s a very relaxing way to have fun because it’s just you and the beautiful night sky.
Below are four tips to make your next camping trip a lot of fun:
1. Bring good equipment.
Quality equipment means everything when it comes to camping. I have heard of so many people saying that the number one thing they hate about camping is how uncomfortable it is.
I just don’t get that. There are so many ways to be comfortable. There are tons of high quality equipment out there that are well worth the cost. You can pay inflating sleeping pads, super comfortable sleeping bags, pillows, lanterns, big tents, stoves, and more.
Also, if you are hiking, all of this can be bought light weight as well so that you don’t have to carry 100 pounds on your back.
2. Bring food you like.
Just because you are camping doesn’t mean that you can’t cook food that you love. Bring your favorite food items, a cooler, and whatever else you may need. I have cooked some pretty delicious meals while camping, and it’s even better to eat it next to a campfire.
3. You can still be clean.
Just because you are camping doesn’t mean you have to be dirty the whole time. You can still brush your teeth and use toilet paper. I usually bring soap wipes and makeup wipes with me as well so that I can stay clean and not smell horrible.
5. Bring bug spray.
Bug spray can mean the world when camping. Always bring bug spray with you because you will be outdoors and there is a pretty big change that they will be out there with you
Do you like camping? Why or why not?
